It was a great day did 54 miles in 4hrs 15mins there were a few serious crashes but with 28 thousand cyclists crammed into narrow road to be expected. Rode in a team of five, youngest late twenties oldest (me) sixty eight.

4 and a half hours here. Mind boggling number of bikes out. Feel pretty good really despite my knees seizing up on the bus back to London!

Goodness took me so much longer. Seemed to get caught in every back log cycle jam going. Stopped twice for half an hour mind!!
Had a great day am at home now with my feet up drinking a beer and feeling knackered. My longest ride to date.

5 hrs 17 although that includes the ride to the start line and the two tea stops. Lots of waiting around at the main junctions and i hope everyone who had an off is ok, saw at least one that looked fairly serious.

I done it in 4:20 but was caught up in some serious congestion. I didnt enjoy getting out of London, too many cyclists riding on the wrong side of the road against oncoming traffic causing all sorts of problems then trying to cut back in at junctions causing bottle necks! Not to mention giving a bad name to cyclists. Other than that if was a great day loved being able to race my mates and sprint for the line at the end with the crowd cheering us on. Made it up Ditchling Beacon which whilst it wasnt easy it definately wasnt as bad as a lot of people made it sound leading up to it. I would do it again but if I did would have to go earlier to avoid all the congestion.

My mate did it in 7.25hrs. Way to many cycles later in the day. Had a 9:30 start.
He was hoping for about 4.5 hrs. I was unable to ride due to injury, but took him down.

I defo wont be doing it having seen photos my mate took and his accounts. We were up at 4:30 and didnt get back home until midnight.

Someone on Facebook (non cyclist) was having a rant about that, he was saying it should be banned because he had to wait ages for a bus

I did it in 4.5 hrs - only covered 8 miles the first hour because of the number of bikes and dodging London traffic - it was great fun though and would definitely do it again (just to see if I could make it up Ditchling Beacon - which I failed miserably)

Done it for the first time this year. What a great buzz! I was hoping we (team of 2) would do it in 4 to 5 hours but we did it in 3:17 (set off at 7). It was the hardest that I've pedalled in ages - good thing there are always faster riders to tuck in behind to up the avg!

Next year: leave at 6 sharp and do it sub 3 hours (bloody London congestion!)
