Enjoy a carnival on 2 wheels ....
It's not a race or PB territory.
Heed the advice of the Marshalls.
Keep a lot of space around you.
Take extra care around feeding stations, people stop/pull out without warning.
Take care approaching inclines, the crunch of gears is the warning that somebody is about to grind to sudden halt.
Note the sudden silence as people approach Ditchling
Savour the final 100 yards .... they're unique.

Cycled the Medway Big Ride Yesterday at 50.4 miles, so training is getting there slowly.

There are many thousand cyclist out there for which the L2B was their first ever big ride .... And many thousand more for which L2B will remain for ever their biggest ride.
It's a bit different these days to when I rode my first in around 1983!

You'll be fine!

I know it's a long video, but this will give you an idea of what to expect up Ditchling.
Even if you want to cycle up it you often can't because some arse is walking across the entire road.
