I was there. Pretty spectacular it was too. Loads of people. The Finish Line in the Mall was completely screened off which seemed uneccesary and excessive. There was plenty of space inside the screened area whilst most folk were crushed shoulder to shoulder on the outside.
I managed to get a prime position looking along Birdcage Walk. I was about four or five deep in the crowd. As the peleton came roaring into view the
to$$er at the very front who had the best view of all decided to climb up the barrier to take his photos thereby blocking the view for everyone behind.
Can't wait for the Olympic event, should be absolutely superb. Bit doubtful of the King of the Mountains being decided on Box Hill though!
