If you're talking about the big Sunday ride with central London road closures, then I don't think there is one this year. Probably one road closure too many this year for Traffic flow London.

There isn't one this year to my knowledge. There was one this weekend in kent for the new opening of that cycling centre.

Interestingly. It appears that this years london skyride happened last Tuesday (29th). It was all kept to a very low profile. Cav and Kelly were there to launch proceedings and a "massive" 150 riders turned out (on invitation only). A pal of mine was there and got good shots of the delightful (if a little unfriendly) Ms Brooke

I suspect the low profile was requested as the event most likely wasn't "approved" by TF, due to the already huge amount of road closure requests this year and as such a large gathering could not be allowed.

I'll see if I can get hold more pics

I got talking to a skyride marshal last week and he said there wasn't going to be one this year, as there have been to many planned closures with jubilee and olympic events

SkyRide Ride Leader please. Marshal

He was correct, no big ride in London this year due to the Olympics. There are more Local Led Rides this year sponsored in part by some of the cycle boroughs. Unfortunately, most of those are aimed at new/returning cyclists and there are very few strong 30 mile rides.

err...well he was correct in that there was no BIG ride...but it did happen, ..as the photo evidence will prove mlud.

In many ways I think it good that they still had "an" event, no matter how small and i understand the reasons for keeping it quiet...but Still, I'd like to have been there...its only about 3 miles from my office
