Dave r, I’m a Coventry kid of Brummie parents now living down on the coast in West Somerset, and travelled last night to Halesowen and back after work to pick the Lombardia up.....worth the nearly six hour round trip though.

Straight up the M5?

Yep, with 45 mins of country roads at the end, got home 23.45. Can’t wait to ride it on these beautiful roads along the coast here and up onto Exmoor.

Blimey, me Allesley Park (when it was just a new estate on the edge of Cov) 1964. Subsequently lived in Leamington then Southam for many years, before moving down to the West Country in 2006.

Cycleops, the bar tape was the one thing I thought I would change when I had only seen photos. However, in real life, it is actually red, and looks a lot better than in the pictures. I will take a week or two to consider.

I'm the odd one out then, born in Suffolk, brought up in Kent, came to Cov in 1973 looking for work and have been here ever since, my Good Lady Wife is a Coventry Kid, born and bred in the city.
