I honestly think that with locks and chains the more money you spend the better. Go for the most expensive one you can afford.

I have 2 D locks and 1 chain coated lock for my bike when I need it secured - through both wheels, the frame, through all off them with one and then chained to a wall for example.

Good luck

2 Locks.....

Good D-lock - Gold standard, and a gold standard chain.

My bike is in a public access area all day, so uses two locks. The D-lock stays with me - don't forget how you lock your bike - with D-locks you need to fill the D with as much bike and stand as you can so they can't get a bottle jack in - Locking through the rear triangle, or using a small D will help here.

I also use a 10lb chain lock, but that stays at work as it's too heavy to carry.

Do get a D-Lock - I've got the larger Magnum D Lock (they are heavy) and an On-guard chain (blooming big).

The Magnum Locks are also Onguards - same lock. I've been using mine for 12 months and they are very good - easy to lock and un-lock in all weather conditions.
