Hey guys, so i'm new here, excuse me if this is the wrong place to post.
I'm going on holiday soon, and I'm cycling to the train station as usual, then into london. I was wondering if there are any security facilities where you can lock your bike up, and say get a ticket or something where only YOU can access it, or anything of the sort. I don't mind paying!!

There are some suggestions here

Sounds like you will still need strong locks for the bike too

If you google "storage" rather than "cycle storage" a few options come up, panniers etc could be left on the bike as it is in a locker a bit larger than the average cycle locker. .
I raised this question a few years back , but in the end found a way around my particular problem at the time, so have no actual experience of longer term parking..

I use the bike parking in the NCP car park behind London St Pancras station. On the ground floor, there's a "SecuriCycle" bike park with an access-code gate but people often leave it hanging open.

But upstairs there are long rows of Sheffield stands, with 24/7 lighting and CCTV cameras. I have been using that for all overnight and weekend parking of my London commuter for 2 years now, no problems. At times due to holidays + illness, my bike has been there 2-3 weeks without me checking it. I use two good locks (Sold Secure Silver rated D-lock through frame and front fork + Sold Secure Gold rated chain lock through rear triangle and rear wheel). I don't leave anything easily nickable on the bike e.g. light, water bottle, but lots of fellow commuters doing the same as me do leave stuff e.g. helmets, panniers. It's about as safe as any place, because there are NCP staff around 24/7 and to be honest few people even know there is bike parking upstairs.

If you've got two decent locks, I'd have no qualms at all about leaving a bike there. Also... it's free.

I remember there was a secure gated bike park at Finsbury Park station. As mentioned above a few of the big stations have them.Probably your best option

Am somewhat intrigued. How much luggage are you taking on this holiday?

I assume you've got an expensive bike? Take it to a pawn shop and use it as security against a small loan. Come back a week later, pay back the loan and collect your bike. You'll have had secure storage for just a pound or two!
(Thanks to Bob Monkhouse for that one  )

Euston has some indoor monitored cycle racks near platform 18 ( and a lot outside) with decent locks that would be pretty secure, and a 5 min walk to Eurostar . Depends what you are locking up really, if it's decent but nothing flash fine, if it's £5k dream machine, then probably not.

Same as car drivers often use a taxi to get to the airport, in your case I'd get a cab to the station. I'd regard it as money well spent to have one less thing to worry about and/or go wrong.

(though I guess that would at least take 10% of your holiday money away  )

I left my bike locked to the rack outside Pret a Manger by St Martins In The Fields on a Friday night and someone booted in the rear wheel. I never leave my bike out overnight now, let alone for SEVERAL DAYS.

Get a return ticket from Charing Cross/London Bridge/Waterloo East to Deptford and I'll house it. Reverse trip on the way back. PM me for contact details.
