I've just a very nice Brooks saddle on my bike, and it occurred to me that anyone with a hex key could pinch it in about 20 seconds.

So can anyone recommend a more secure seat collar? I guess they could still undo the clamp, so what do I do about that?

They could also hacksaw through the seatpost. Some things are not worth worrying about...

If it's a high-crime area and you're just commuting, put a tatty saddle on.

I've seen the suggestion of supergluing a ball bearing into the hexagon at the head of the screw. Easily removed at home with some nail polish remover (http://www.superdrug.com/Superdrug/Superdrug-Acetone-Nail-Polish-Remover-50ml/p/219149#.VqZz_1OLSRs)

I actually have the full sized kryptonite cable http://www.wiggle.co.uk/kryptonite-kryptoflex-7-foot-cable-bike-lock/. The rails on my B17 are large enough so I can easily thread it through (doesn't work with other saddles  ), so I use it to secure my wheels and the saddle.
