Had a spur of the moment thought on Tuesday - Lets go camping! Ok it wasn't actulay spur of the monet as we'd planned on going, but on Tues morn the weekly forecast for W.Sussex wasn't too bright, but the forecast for Derbyshire was..so the idea of driving up & surprsing my folks was born!
We finaly left at 14.00 on Tues, after much disccusion as to whether to take the bikes or not, first it was a no, then a yes, which meant unloading the car & reloading it to get #2's trailer in.
Finaly arrived at the campsite at 18.00, was pitched relaxing with a glass of Sloe by 20.00
10am Weds morn we were knocking on my mums door... She was out! Thoughts of she's gone on holiday entered my mind..Hmmmm maybe letting her know we were coming would have been a good idea after all?
Luckily after a quick call discovered she was shopping & would be back in a couple of hours.
So what to do while we waited..? Go for a little drive..
Imagine my excitement at getting to botom of her hill & seeing a sign for this shop.... Two hours & quite a bit poorer I finlay arrived at my mums!!!!

Welcome to my local Decathlon

I have been known to suggest it to SWMBO that a look around ikea would be a nice trip so i can pop down to decathlon and spend some money on more important stuff ....

Last time I went down that road there was only Ikea, none of the other shops had been built...It's enormous now!
We're going back again 26th Aug...I may have to leave the bikes at home so will have room for more purchases!

LOL!!

Bought #3 a pair of lycra shorts - he's always wore padded baggies that come past his knees before - Today we went out for about 4 hours while #2 was at his activity club.. #3 is now very proud of his official cyclists tan lines!!

Decent sleeping bags are on my list - After buying some cheap Tesco ones, cheap as in £14 reduced from £40..I realised why they reduced - Would be great if camping in the Sahara, but no blooming good for a chilly Sussex night!
So our last trip have taken my spare duvet (king size) , I keep it in one of those vacuum sealy bags, so on way there was fine - Didn't think about how to get it home, we sort of managed to squish it around the boot of the car tucking it into nooks & crannies, Never really thought about how a big a quilt was until then LOL!

I've spent a couple of hours wandering around Decathlon trying things on and discovered that, just like the Aldi cycle clothing, nothing actually fits me! About the most interesting thing at my local store was a life-size model horse dressed up in bondage gear.

I bet you were disappointed that they didn't have the bondage gear in your size.

I bought some bib shorts in XL, I have a very long body so this is my usual size, but the shirts & jerseys I bought & had to go for 2XL in one style & 3XL in another.... I may have to consider going on a diet

For decent bondage gear you want to go to either Soho, Camden or Kemp Town ;)
