Just gone into Halfords for two CR2032 lithium batteries for thw bike computer. £3.95 each. Being a tight fisted sod I went next door to Pound Stretcher where an 8 pack of unbranded CR2032 cost me just 99p

At that price , if they only last 6 months instead of 2 years, I still save £7. Is it just me or has the world gone daft??? (Perhaps just Halfrauds have gone daft?)

It's like buying memory cards for digital cameras
I was looking for a microSD card from a well known digital camera highstreet store. The price they wanted for an 8GB Card was above £30. I asked them why it was so much when i could get the same branded card from Amazon for less than £10. They said they needed to pay the electric bills. I simply replied with 'So do i' and i walked out of the store.

It's not just Halfords most high street stores are the same, I paid £5 for two batteries last year in Boots. I now do exactly as Fosyant, but them bulk off eBay much cheaper and you always have them to hand.
