List of Websites

I hope I'm not being too precocious posting this but I thought this forum could do with a list of reliable equipment suppliers & websites.

I've been searching the forum and found some good advice about websites and companies; however, it's not always readily apparent where to do for quality gear as a novice cyclist. I thought that perhaps a list of companies might make for a good Sticky thread? It might cut down on the number of "Which gloves?" type of threads. At the very least, people could have a look through the websites and narrow down the field a bit.

Any suggestions?

I think that this thread would be a great starting point if you want to look at peoples experiences and suggestions.

We used to a have a thread recommending local bike shops (LBS) and I think there was a thread for recommending useful web site, but these disappeared when the new software was brought in. As I understand it, Admin has a plan to bring them back in a more user friendly form as the "Directory" (see top right nav bar), however it has yet to get near the top of his to do list. Give it time it will happen.

That sounds like a good idea. I suppose people could note down in this thread any they particular site they recommend until the thread is closed, locked, or forgotten.
