Hi all.
I have a Linx 7 windows 8.1 tablet.
It powers on, but the touch/ swipe screen won't work, so preventing me entering the next screen to enter my password to get on.worked perfectly until this morning.
I've tried the shutdown/ re-boot, (power button) to turn off and on but no joy. Is there a way to factory reset using buttons only ?
Anyone any ideas, recommendations ? Greatly appreciated if you could help, it's only 3 days old, but it's been up dating itself for ages, and now this.
Advice please.
Cheers.

Stupid idea but have you cleaned the screen (with an appropriate wipe). My son likes to deposit food all over his tablet and it did the same thing, could not use the keypad entry. Not suggesting that the tablet is dirty, it only needs to be a small item on the screen to stop it working. I doubt this will remedy it but please humour me.

I know that on an android tablet you can press the volume down button and power button at the same time for a few seconds to enter the boot menu. May be worth a shot with your windows tablet.

I don't have a keyboard, so hoping it can be done via the buttons only.
I'm hoping someone will be along shortly to tell me the sequence.
Cheers.

Switch it off, and switch it on again while simultaneous holding down either the volume up or down buttons, put's it into some kind of diagnostic mode that may help.

As Drago Says, press power and up volume button to access boot settings. Not sure if there is anything there.

Other option is to press and hold the power button for over 10 seconds for a hard reset.

I have the 1010B, 10.1" and the only issue I have now is it won't charge when switched on - it used to.
