Line Drawings in Classic Cycling

Having recently seen

vintage cycling catalogues - Campagnolo 1953, and then Bike Riders Aids 1967-68 (thanks Poacher) - containing line drawings, here are some examples from Daniel Rebour.

I used to stare at his Rene Herse bike drawing for a long time - just beautiful.

The exploded view of the Stronglight chainset is fabulous too.

Other particular favourites of Cycle Chat readers are welcomed.

I remember when Haynes manuals were like that. I stopped buying them when they replaced the drawings with photos that were next to useless.

So do I and I marvel at the high degree of skill those illustrators had. Even relatively mundane stuff such as exploded drawings in old vehicle workshop manuals & parts books were often of outstanding quality.
