There's a space by Wimbledon station that is meant to be designated parking for hire scheme e-bikes. It's not very obvious and always full of Brazilian delivery drivers sitting around waiting for someone to order a delivery sausage roll from Greggs presumably  Hence the bike stands are still often blocked by Lime and Forest bikes

I dislike the bikes being placed in awkward places but meh. However, we totally need these, and more, bikes, because public transport sucks, the roads are a mess, and getting anywhere on anything other than a bike or e-scooter is painfully slow, uncomfortable and expensive.

So, while I dislike the parking of said bikes, the bigger picture is we need them and I'd rather have them around than not.

I hope other councils follow suit.

Dockless bikes (and scooters ) are a terrible idea, which result in problems for local residents and really major issues for people with disabilities, those pushing prams etc.

They are just a cheapskate way of allowing operators to start extracting revenue as quickly as possible without requiring them to make any up- front investment in docking infrastructure.
