Are those the ones who were all killed on The Somme?

I don't know enough about them, and I didn't know there was a dedicated cyclist company until I saw this. This poster just caught my eye as being interesting and in fact I only saw it because Ned Boulting tweeted it. A quick look at their history mentions Ypres, but not The Somme.

There is a block of flats (I think) converted from an old army barracks that was the HQ for a battalion of cyclist, it's in the town of Bradford upon Avon, if I recall correctly.

Most people of that generation seemed to have all their teeth removed and false ones fitted. This and the ad shown above leads me to think that hygiene must have been worse than I thought and people must have had terrible bad breath. Yuk.

My MIL only baths once a week......
