Lightweight Rain Jacket

Does anyone make such an item that is reasonably waterproof and breathable? I boiled in my Castelli today.

i think its either pay mega bucks or make the choice between being wet with rain or wet with sweat - guess its one of them things that you get what you pay for - although i am hoping someone says there is a brilliant cheap top on the market

Aldi were doing some for a tenner a couple of weeks back. I now have three. Fold into a tiny pack which easily fits in your jerseys back pocket vented on the back so not too hot. Not as good as a mega bucks one but for a tenner not at all bad.

I have tried lots of cheapo rubbish, but the best I could find for minimal outlay is the Tenn Vapor jacket. It is waterproof and not boil in the bag either and is reasonably priced.

I forget which Grangers like product fro the lbs I used but it did indeed improve it on that front the arms still seem to collect water but I can live with that

The trick is to cycle slowly and minimise generation of sweat.
