Lightweight overshoes/socks

Ok spring is here Already have thermal Pro overshoes, which have been good over winter but sweaty betty for spring and summer so looking for lightweight overshoes. Any recommendations, looking at Wiggle just now and saw these http://www.wiggle.co.uk/craft-bike-coversock-overshoes/ worth a punt or is there better choices elsewhere?

Are lighweight overshoes meant to be waterproof or just designed to keep shoes clean?

keep them clean and your feet warmer? Prendas look a good bet on price anyway

Cheap sport socks from your generic chav sport shop. Just put them over the shoes, will clip in with no cutting etc needed. A natural hole develops after a few outings. Chucked first ones today after about 250 miles in last few weeks. Plenty more pairs in the packet should it not warm up.
