lightspin dynamoes

i decided the other day to use my light- spin dynamo for the first time. i had purchased it months ago. my problem is that after fastening the dynamo on the bracket of the bike, and then positioning the dynamo against the tyre rim ,then
pulling the dynamo away from the wheel and clicking to the away from the wheel position- it then refused to go out of its position. it is stuck their and will not move. help please someone

I have an angle grinder you can borrow if you want.

Not sure about lightspin, but most dynamos require a push up/pull down action before it will spring into action.

Do you need to push it up or down vertically to release it?
