Light for the wifes bike - basket type

My wife's bike has a large wicker basket on the front.

I have got her a light but it fits on the handle bar, but its not good really as we really need one mounted on the basket, I have had a look on wiggle, but nothing suitable, wondered if anyone has any recommendations or experience of a solution?

thanks to all who reply

Depending on the front edge of the basket, could you cable tie a bit of tube to the front edge to replicate the handle bar for the light to fit on?

Or maybe adapt something like this?

These are made of cheese, there is a small tab at the top holding the tube that breaks all too easily

There are two light types....

One with a long body such as this:

The other is one without this body such as these:

The former will enable you to see as opposed to just be seen

The Basket Grip is a stronger version and will fit, but extends out which will allow fitting of long body lights

If you are using simple LED lights without a long body then the quickest and cheapest is two pipe clips:

THen a piece of piping between the tow, thus allowing the lightbar to be removed

If you want more permanent then try this style
