I'm looking for light factory built clinchers which are low profile/standard and are lighter than 1700grams, but £190 maximum for the rear wheel (as the front will obviously be cheaper) but am having no luck.

I can only afford one wheel at a time, so £190 is the complete max' I can go without spending more.

Anybody who knows of any wheels which equal to under 1700grams a pair, please reply

Wheels I was looking at are Mavic Kysrium Equipe, but as you will see, they go over 1700grams.

Thanks

Planet X model B or AL30 come in at just over 1700. Why is that number so important?

Cheers. Lighter is better by all means, it's just the fact that you would pay over £200 for wheels which come in at lower weight.

Second option is custom builds from BikeHubStore.com, but it works out more for them being built.

Cheers for the replies everybody. I actually came across the RS80's last night on PX. If Loco sells me his front wheel, I'll buy the rear new, as it's just about in my price range.

merlin cycles had good deals on a wide range of shimano wheels last time I looked. They were cheaper than PX at the time, might be worth a look?
