Quick reminder in case some folks don't know.

PS Try late on Wednesday as they start putting the stuff out the night before (just don't go to the one near me, OK?)

Thanks. It will be good for you because, in my experience, half will be good for you - the other half will be good for the bike!

I bought a waterproof last time, quite nice except the zip broke after the 2nd wearing (and I didn't keep the receipt). Long sleeve shirt and the gloves have been useful though.

I will check it out , but I have yet to buy anything in either of the Lidls I have visited. I'm not really sure what it is that stops me. But will the same mysterious force be in operation this Thursday I wonder. Only time will tell.

My eldests winter football training happens to be about 6 miles away from home but relatively close to a lidl. As it happens training is Wed evenings, it's my turn to take them and so you can guess where I'll be whilst their playing footie. Actually there's a few things on the grocery front we have grown to like and their prices are astonishing.

London to Paris in June so need a pannier.
Is it ok to just have one? or do I need to be even?

Anyone bought them in the past? If so would you recommend?

isn't this a supported ride? if so surely a bar bag would be best just for food sun cream etc.

No- Just four of us and the bikes. Planning to stay in B&Bs (two overnight stops), so no camping gear and should not need towels and stuff but will need a change of gear for non cycling times and perhaps a clean pair of socks.

makes more sense to me now - there is a couple of rear bags (about 10litre i think) but they have fold out pockets for dirty washing or wet items etc. or just more space

with the pockets aswell the space is around 20 litres

I bought one a while back for about £15 and use it for short tours - works great

I just bought a rather fab saddle for about 6 squid

ditto. But it was a saddle pack, complete with a few tools etc.

If I had a bit more cash on me I would have bought another. Just have to call in again tomorrow.

tbh, I didn't really need anything they had, having stocked up on previous occasions. I dallied with the thought of getting some spd shoes, but I have 2 decent pairs in the cupboard. One of my bikes has a slightly ripped saddle, so I got one. Would have got a shirt, but even I thought they were pretty horrible-looking
