Wonder what the running socks would be like to use as cycling socks?

Or if they are like my local lidl, ONLY on the 11th of this month. I'll be there at 8.15am, I've been waiting to replace the last pair...will probably buy 2 this time. I have bought some far more expensive Bloc ones since, but I love the changeable lenses for cheap.

As for socks....they are fairly cool, wickable socks. As long as they don't come up to your knees, I am sure they'll pass muster!

I might give these a go. I seem to have tried everything else and all my glasses steam up when I stop. Got nothing to lose at £4 although they may not have that nice little O on the corner!!

Well, I have a pair of Tifosi "Slip" for long rides, but the Aldi sunglasses (which look similar to these) have been fine for commutes & sticking in my work bag on the off chance of sunshine on the way home.

Still, it's your money.

You really shouldn't knock it so. If you go to Germany, Lidl and Aldi are everywhere and aren't seen as a the cheapo store that they are in this country. I'm not saying they'll be top of the range, but I imagine they'd do a good stint.

Cheers to Norman for flagging the thread in the first place. Picked up a couple of pairs of the glasses this morning, and pretty impressed with them to be honest. It was fairly sunny, so left the darkest lenses on for a 30 mile ride today and they were pretty comfy, the lenses still letting enough light through when the sun tucked behind the clouds, and all in all £3-odd a pair well spent IMO. I picked up both silver and black-framed pairs. It was only when I was home that I realised they were different styles; the lenses on the silver frame extending to help protect from the side, so for cycling I'd personally recommend them.

i bought these glasses rather than the Aldi cycling or sports glasses. they are a nicer fit than the aldi ones.

if they last as long as the ones i bought a couple of years ago (which are still ok), they will be well worth the 4 quid
