I can recommend the bike hoist. An absolute steal.
I have one of those, I have never installed or used it. It won't fit the woodwork in my shed. I have tried to give it away but no-one wants it, and it would cost more to post than to go and buy a new one because it is heavy.

It needs a surprisingly tall room if you want the bike to be above head height. I considered our stairwell at home but eventually installed it in my office/workshop at work which has a 3.3 metre ceiling. I'll put another one up there for bike #2.

Have you noticed how prices of cycling stuff creep up every year ar Aldi and Lidle? Two years ago, the tool sadle bag was £2.99, last year £3.99 and now £4.99. I thought inflation was low?

The last couple of time these offers have been on I've found the Safeman lock (http://www.safeman.de/index.php?set_language_id=2&cID=1) on sale for £5 even though they've not been shown on the leaflets or on line so it may be worth a quick look in store.
