Did anybody get the panniers from Lidl. I called in to one shop and they were all gone.

i got some , ( they had stock in bolton in the evening fwiw, though no socks of any decent sizes
)..cant really compare, but i'd say
1. its two piece, so theres a top bit ( which is like a big briefcase size) and the side bits are 'in one' (so you can't just use one side piece). I dont see how you can use the top piece either, without using the sides because it seems to attach to them..
2. 'waterresistant' or something, but also has a rain cover.
3. seemed pretty straightforward, but i havent been able to check it goes onto my pannier,,, coz my aldi pannier and my mudguards are having a 'confrontation'.
4. both bits have handles and theres a shoulder strap ..
frankly i figured , 15 quid for that,, or 15 quid for one side bag from clas ohlson or god knows from somewhere else.. might as well try it out..
got the toolset ( yet another one) , i'm gunna leave it in the car and sell it to the next cyclist i see walking with a bike ( saw two with punctures tonight
). ( 5 quid, seemed a bargain frankly).also got two of the sealant things and the wierd tiny pump thing

Hi I bought the panniers .
They are 60 Litres . Doe's not mean a thing until you see them in the real .
I would recommend them .
They are well thought out .
On the top is a zipped suitcase whichich can be attached to the 2 x dropdown panniers . 50x 40cm.
I managed to put a Vango ultralite 200 sleeping bag In . Also . Alpkit /Aeric self Inflating matteress Into also .
The panniers have loads of room 2 x 30cm pouches also 2x20cm and 2x 10cm pouch's
All In all very good value for money .
I had already bought the Argos 28 Lite panniers. Cost &19:99 . To Small . I gave them back when I bought the Lidle £14:99.
The only slight problem Is Installing the Inserts .
They are a B****** to insert . Seem oversize . " You could possible cut a couple of Inchs of each one .
I took the ones out of the top suitcase . To make It more supple .
And cut up parts of neon guy ropes to attach to the black on black zips . " That you wont see In the Dark ." .
I bought the Panniers For cycling and camping out .
So I hope this helps you .
Next time they go on sale In Lidle . Buy them quick .
