Hi all,

I'm not a motorcyclist, but I have noticed that quite a few on here are.

ALDI are doing a sale this Thursday, and LIDL next Monday of all sorts of Motorbike kit. Worth a check on their respective websites if interested.

Hope that helps,

MG

Some of the stuff on the websites look good and could well lend itself to cycling.

Cheap prices too!!!

I'll be queuing up there on Thursday and Monday!

I read about these some where on a cycle forum and it was said that motrocycle stuff is designed for warmth rather than wicking so you could end up very hot and sweaty..

Maybe so, but the descriptions talk about taking the sweat away from your body so it might be ok.

Quite fancy one of those balaclava's with neck warmer for the winter.

Snug as a bug in a rug !!!

I got 2 x balaclavas from previous years and they've been tremendous. I was previously using my Buff, which is fine until about 2 or 3 celsius, but a bit lacking when temperatures dropped lower.

Downside with balaclavas is that you can't wear cycling glasses. Your outward breath hits the balaclava and goes upwards towards your nose and into your lenses. Though your outward breathe is warm so it stops the eyes getting cold and watering.

I bought an Aldi motorbike chain lock. Its better than it looked on the website however it weighs a ton! Even for a pack rat like myself this is too heavy to carry about normally but it will stay at work.
