As I am in hospital for a yet unspecified time I am now under their consulttants/Doctors. I have been prescribed Librium in small doses. Even so it worries me.
Anyone else been on it ?

A definite improvement. Eating slightly better (which would not be difficult) and feeling a bit perkier.

Yup, twice. High dosages at first, tapered off over a period of between 10 and 14 days.

I wouldn't say it's a solution, but it certainly helps with a variety of issues.

It seems to be mostly obsolete in the USA. As I remember it, they used to use it as a "pre-op" tranquilizer before surgical anesthesia, and as a sleeping aid.

The web says its modern use is " for the management of anxiety disorders or for the short term relief of symptoms of anxiety, withdrawal, and symptoms of acute alcoholism."
