Been running a Lezyne Micro Drive front light for a few months now and I have to say that it's one of the best lights I have owned. The Micro Drive is a relatively small unit but packs a lot of punch in light output. It is certainly a light you can see by rather than just be seen. It only has a single LED but on its maximum power with 150 lumens it easily illuminates the fence at the end of our 75 metre garden. At this output it will run for about 90 minutes and the 100 lumens setting will give up to two and a half hours (easily bright enough and long enough for most commutes). I've used this light on unlit rural roads close to home and always feel confident it will keep me safe. The on-off switch is pretty well sealed against inclement weather and incorporates a battery charge indicator so that you can see when power is starting to run low. Charging is via a USB connection and from completely drained only takes around two hours. A quick change handlebar bracket with a strong silicone rubber band to secure it in place makes swapping from one bike to another simple. Overall, a fantastic little light that really does illuminate the road ahead. Purchased mine from Halfords Bikehut after reserving it on a "click and collect" for £31.99. They have it on their shelf for about another £10.00, so definitely worth reserving online first. May be cheaper deals out there, but Halfords were the best price I could find at the time. I would totally recommend this light, for price, performance, usability and style. Gets a 10/10 from me!

Thanks, good to know, mine was dispatched by Amazon yesterday after a pitch black commute in last Friday :-)

I may be looking for something smaller when I melt everything in front of me when my 6600lumen solar storm x3 turns up tomorrow

Joking aside I do need a light for the road bike as the solar storm is for my MTB and night woodland blasts

The Lezyne is a great unit for the money. There are obviously more powerful lights out there, but I'm seriously impressed with the performance of the Micro Drive. It has three constant settings 50-100-150 lumens and two flashing settings. It was a top bargain at £31.99 too.

The adjustable rubber clip needs to be fairly tight, the first time I did a bumpy bit of fast tarmac it rotated and pointed at the deck... but pull it tight by one more notch and it was fine.. never moved since.
