OK you fancy seeing the country between Lands End and John O'Groats time is not a factor. Is there a classic scenic route, what would be the bits that must be cycled to be enjoyed.: Would you bike it all, or train some horrible bits.
There must be some books on this any suggestions.

There can be no classic route because we all have different interests. Some enjoy the city architecture ancient and modern, others the seascapes or hills, the remnants of past industry, or the construction of new projects.
It is well worth cycling through the horrible bits, there are not many of them, and you may be pleasantly surprised.
