I'm doing this with a couple of folk from work.

We all signed up last week and got our information pack thru' the post on Monday. If you haven't had anything soon I'd give the organisers a call.

I will be doing this as well - looking forward to seeing how the hills of Fife compare to my usual haunts.

All being well with my good lady wife, currently in hospital, i will be doing this for the 3rd year in the trot.

As Scoosh said enjoy the Freuchie stop and don't overload for Cadgers Brae.

Hope to see some of you there or on the road.

Hoping to do it again this year, will be signing up on the day ...
Freuchie ... mmmmmm ..... strawberry tarts

Last year we got the flu (proper flu not man flu) just before the ride. It took ages to recover from and spoilt a lot of the summer cycling plans

It climbs a bit to the top of the Cleish hills but apart from Cadger's Brae I can't recall any serious hills. Fife has got plenty of good hills but you'd have to go off route to ride them ;-)

The route comes out to just over 1000 m of climbing on RWGPS - that qualifies as decently hilly in my book.

You're right that there arent't any long, sustained, climbs though. I guess I'll have to come back another time...

These are local hills to me.

Cleish Hill is a bit of a grind but not as challanging as it looks on paper.

Cadger's Brae is a bit of a bar steward if truth be told and is by far the most challanging test on this undulating rather than 'hilly' route. Because of a tight bend at the bottom of the hill you are almost at a standing start before the climb. However, it can be climbed with ease on a compact set up.

I'm planning to ride out from home to Cleish to pick up the route with the option to turn off at Pitscottie. Unless I'm in company I doubt if I will have the desire to go further as I ride a varation on the Pitscottie to St Andrews leg every day.

Looks like we can all do a bit of "spot the CycleChatter" along the route :hello:

So who's likely to do at least part of the route?
