I have a rather comfortable Lepper Concorde brown leather saddle, which has twin rails for the old style twin rail seatpost fitting. Unfortunately, one of the rails has broken.

I have emailed Lepper in Holland to ask about spares, but without response. Their website also seems to show every single saddle in their range as "Unavailable".
Questions:-
- does anyone have any experience in obtaining Lepper spares, or know how to?
- are they still a going concern (I've seen new saddles currently being advertised on Ebay)
- I'd like to use a single thicker rail attachment as now provided on many Brooks saddles. Does anyone have any ideas, comments or suggestions about this?

Answering my own question, I'm afraid.

Eventually I got a response out of Lepper who said they could provide a replacement rail. Then, after several days, I received an invoice from them for 32 euros, or about £26!

I have heard that Lepper saddles have a poor-ish reputation. Certainly mine broke in normal use, which, while unusual, is not unheard-of. However, paying about 40% of the cost of a new Brooks B67 or Lepper for a replacement rail isn't on.

I'll try to make one of my own and if this doesn't work, then it's "in the bin" with it.
