Hi all

I've had this Lejeune road bike for a few years but I can't find much information about it like model or year it was made.
Its got rust on the frame but everything else works and its got new tyres and handlebar tape.

I was wondering if there is much of a market to sell this type of bike and if there is a rough value for it.

@BucksBoarder I would suggest looking on the hubs for a date code normally I would hope to see something like 11 - 74 which would be week number and year . Also worth checking on the rear of the calipers for a circular shape with an arrow pointing towards two digits.
As for value I would suggest something like £50 - 125 but only my estimate

There's always a market in anything if the price is right, but bear in mind these bikes aren't well known in the UK, so buyers might be suspicious of them. Also consider that it is pretty basic quality, as evidenced by the type of rear derailleur mech fitted, and the lack of frame tubing stickers. It is most likely a plain gauge hi-tensile steel frame, not a butted frame made out of a high grade alloy steel. Nothing wrong with that, but it's secondhand value will be considerably lower than a bike made of Reynolds or Columbus tubing and fitted with higher-spec mechanical components. Whilst all drop bar "racers" look much of a muchness to the casual eye, the devil is in the detail and this determines the value.
