Leicester to Cambridge...road bike or hybrid?

I am planning on cycling from Leicester to Cambridge (about 75 miles). Should I take the road bike (Allez Elite) or hybrid (Sirrus Elite)?

Personal preference, of course, but I've never done more than 15 miles in a day, so what would you choose?

The Sirrus will do the job but my preference would be for the dropped bar road bike; IME it just makes things a whole lot easier especially if its windy.

yeh take the road bike you have a lot more hand positions on drop bars to prevent aching.

The bike you're more comfortable on. I'd take each bike on a longer ride to see which is better, some people find that flat bars are better on longer rides for them, others prefer drops.

have done leicester to cambs twice now on my allez

oh and a mad bost for me lol i also did leicester to wisbech and back in 10.5 hours including a stop for dinner
