Left vs Right SPD-SL Cleat

I'm getting new shoes and cleats for Christmas but in the short interim is there any reason why I cant use an old right cleat on the left shoe?

They are not left or right-sided as such, so you should be ok....

I do this regularly - my LH cleat wears faster than the R as it is my 'put-down' foot, so when it needs replacement I move the RH cleat to the L and put the new cleat on my R shoe. ( btw I use Look Keos - their 'position memory' makes this really easy).

No problem at all. L & R cleats are identical.

Edit: used the old cleat tonight and other than it worked there's not much to say
