Twisty, lumpy route but ultimately a sprinters finish?

a few climbs along the way so could be a chance for a break away, but with the last 10k all downhill, providing any break aways are reeled in should be a day for the sprinters. Wonder if the downhill finish might mean a few crashes.

If Cav can keep himself out of trouble, could be the first win for him and the march towards the green jersey.

Do you think he'll contest the intermediate sprints though? He's said he's just interested in stage wins.

that's a fair point Renard, but the intermediate sprints only give 6, 4 and 2 pts, whereas stage wins give 35pts and 2nd a 3rd give 30 and 26.

Consistent top 5 finishes would more than outweigh even a heavy haul of intermediate pts, so i think he can concentrate his moves on the final sprints.

I hope he sees it through to the sprint on the final stage this year after the complete balls up over the Olympics and his quest for a Mickey Mouse track medal.
