Got my bike back from the LBS last week, one of the things they did was to change the the rear derailleur gear cable.
On my first ride on it on Friday I noticed something very odd.
The right hand Shimano STI levers worked the opposite way to the way I expect.
The small lever moves the rear to a larger cog whereas the large lever moves the rear to a smaller cog.
I knew something was wrong but could not believe the LBS would make such a mistake or whether it is actually possible.
Confirmed my suspicions when I checked my road bike which works as expected.

Anyone know to put it right?
If it is a quick fix I will do it myself as taking it back to LBS is a right pain as their opening hours do not fit in with my work hours.

Not sure how this is actually possible, it suggests that the cable as been threaded in from the wrong side somehow:wacko:

Yes Shimano STI Tiagra levers on a Ridgeback Panorama with a Deore XT rear mech.

I am confused myself, I have checked several times to make sure it really is shifting the opposite way:wacko:
Luckily my road bike shows me I am not going crazy.

The xt rear mech is probably a rapid rise.
