My LBS charged £10 to true a wheel that was bent as **** after my accident and I thought that was bloody great....yours is effectively charging £15 but I guess it depends where your shop is and how out of true it is.
^+1. There's a lot of mystique around the truing of wheels, but it's not that difficult. I did mine for years using the brake blocks as guides, until I finally bought a truing stand. Even now I don't always use the stand.

This shop needs to be made an example of. If they haven't the time or expertise to true wheels then they should be honest enough to say so.
I suspect they would probably farm it out to a local wheel builder and put some profit on the top for themselves..
Hang on a minute, name and shame? For what? The OP hasn't even said how badly the wheels are out of true, it could be a complete rebuild, in which case the price is roughly right.
Well it sounds a rip off to me too. I can't get the torque to get the freewheel cassette off any more on the rear so the LBS does the truing on that side. I got a rebuilt wheel for about a tenner.
