The women's race has just encountered the Cote de la Vecquee, which has resulted in a much reduced lead group. Deignan first over the climb, which is good going as she had a mechanical earlier and lost a fair bit of ground.

In the men's race a small group of 8 have over 10 minutes lead on the peloton.

Shame. He did everything right but Valverde was just too strong. Great finish though, very exciting.
