I've read that Latex inner tubes not only increase puncture resistance but also give superior ride quality.

I find it hard to believe that once a tyre is pumped to 110 psi that anyone can tell whether the tube is latex or butyl.

Do latex tubes really improve ride quality? As they cost about £10 each it would be an expensive experiment!

They're lighter than butyl rubber, I guess they're more elastic giving a more compliant ride. They're supposed to lose pressure more readily as they are more gas permeable than butyl rubber so will need pumping up daily.
