I've used it... just tell it which who you like, and then you get listening to similar ones as well.

I got really enthused about it at first and then realised it wanted you to stump up the readies very quickly or you could only listen to the first 20 seconds or so of the track. :-( Would rather listen on youtube and use my own (and friends) discriminating taste or AMG to see what kind of bands I might want to listen to.

I've never paid it a penny, and I get to listen to full tracks. The on-demand full tracks are limited due to copyright.

Last.fm's nowhere near as good at finding similar stuff to what you put in as Pandora, but you can't get Pandora in the UK any more due (of course) to copyright issues.

Yahoo's Launchcast is similar but always pays full tracks. If you don't pay then you have to suffer the odd advert every six songs or so.

I've used LastFM since it was audioscrobbler, more as a way of keeping in touch with what my friends are listening to than anything else.
