Larger Shoes

Hi,

I've just purchased a Boardman Team Hybrid (i've read all the hybrid vs road bikes

) and am commuting about 12miles each way most days.

I've got an old set of Shimano SPD's on my old road bike which i'll transfer over to my new bike and I'm on the lookout for some new shoes.... The only snag is I'm a UK size 13...

Any recommendations etc???

Specialized size 48 fit my size 12s. Looking at the Specialized website, they do size 49 in their road and mtb ranges.

The catch 22 is that LBSs seem a bit reluctant to order in large sizes to try because they get lumbered with them if you find they don't fit. At the same time, they don't carry these as stock sizes in the shop, which would prevent the need for a special order.
