I am considering joining a work group who are planning to ride Lands End to John Ogroats next summer..June 2013...I am really interested and wonder what sort of training I would need to do? (expect ride the bike a lot ) I am aged 56...obvious 57 next summer a a keen runner and cyclist. I am a member of a running club and run frequent 10k's and half marathons (half marathon time 1hr 38mins) I cycle to and from work each day...which is about a 20mile round trip...so I would presume all I would need to do is up the cycling and enter a few 100k and 100mile events in preparation....what advice can you offer? We would be cycling in a group of approx 5 starting at John Ogroats and staying in prebooked b&b's
