Looks like im getting roped into doing it again this year. Last year I injured my knee two weeks before so rested and didn't touch the bike till the big day and done the 100 miles. I will try dig out the route we done for you. This route was changed at last minute apparently so I don't know if they will change it again this year but here goes:

I really bonked the last twenty miles down to the loss of endurance, fatigue and the knee was getting sore at this point. It held though and never troubled me much since (just about give it enough recovery).

Me?

It's pretty tough but not ridiculous and in nice weather would be quite enjoyable. The route is in my link (last years route).

Hi,

do you have that route?

Any steer on what it's like?

Cheers

It's a great ride and when I did it basically followed the northern section if the Lancashire Cycleway. I don't take part now as I feel the cost of joining in is excessive - think it was around £65 last time I looked.

Good day and well organised though.

The cost is less than £20 but they do ask you to try to raise money for charity if possible.

I've only done the 50 mile route but can post my copy of it if anyone wants?

Did anyone do this event?

I and two others who planned on doing it bottled out as the forecast said 'rain all day and high winds on exposed areas'. Interested to see if anyone turned out in them conditions?

I did do a local ride as I felt guilty and got drenched.
