Ladies 'Record' - folding 3 speed

I've been offered one of these from a local house clearance.

Apart from the seized main hinge and flat tyres, it would seem OK for occasional mobile travel without the need to lock up.

Now just curious about who made it and where ?

They're fine - basically heavy but usable transport on a budget. I had a folding one in the car for a couple of years. Still not sure why I sold it as it was useful on holiday / local shopping trips.

Not really a expert on these bikes but may have been made by Raleigh although the one you pictured looks rather different in some respects. There were also BSA badged models but were essentially the same.

I'm sure somebody will be along with more specific info.

Anyone who has ever read @tyred 's cycling blog will be aware he has a 3 speed "Record" light roadster, which he seems to think is of Communist Bloc origin. Maybe the folder mentioned here is from the same manufacturer?
