Ladies Peugeot 3 speed Sturmey Wheels - 26" 44-584

Hi,

I have recently been given an old (80's) Peugeot step through framed ladies 3 speed bicycle, as I like to tinker with them. The wheel size is an issue as it seems a rather unusual size (26 x 1 1/2 x 1 5/8 Inch (44-584). I have sourced new tyres and tubes from SJS Cycles but the rims are in a poor state and could really benefit from being replaced. Can these wheels still be purchased? If not, can anyone recommend a reasonable wheel builder that could place the hubs onto new rims?
I am based in Blackpool, Lancashire.

SJS can also supply the wheels from what I can see - is it just a single speed hub or a Sturmey Archer hub or what. Rims of this size/vintage are not easy to get hold of.

Thanks for your reply. It's a 3 speed Sturmey Archer hub and I've also dropped SJS an email about replacement wheels. I hope that I can put an "after" picture up once I've completed it's rebuild

Unfortunately SJS cannot supply wheels or rims for this size.
