Kudos folding bike

I live on the coast in Lincolnshire(Flat!!)I'm a pensioner and would like a folder.This seems perfect for my needs.Has anyone got one and how does it handle please?Thanks

Tern and Dahon do some good folders.

I would avoid Brompton as a big premium is added on just to have something iconic.

I Googled the Kudos bikes. Only thing I could find was tiny electric motorcycles and one very base model dahonalike. If you don't plan to go far, these are probably fine. But anytime someone says they'd like a folder, I have to ask why. Why you want a folder is a good starting point , as the bike's aren't all good for everything, every bike is a compromise. When you're going to spend the extra money to get something foldable, it's good to start with why you want it to fold in the first place.

Kudos look very similar to many other generic bikes of that ilk, which is no criticism. You might consider going Cheap Charlie to dip your toe, something like a Decathlon Tilt 100, or even perhaps bargain basement nostalgia with a Raleigh Stowaway. Happy hunting

It's a Tern-a-like frame, which is no bad thing.

The finishing kit, wheels,etc, are very low rent. If you're doing lowish miles it's probably an OK machine, but if you're intending any serious use then spending the extra on a real Tern would be the way to go.

I bought 2 Bromptons for myself and Jannie. We have lots of DF bikes. But the Bromptons are so easy to put on the back seat of the Picanto when we go somewhere. It is far simpler than taking DF bikes with us. I have ridden my Brompton across Bulgaria. They are a perfectly capable bike.
