Howdy all,

Going to get a KryptoFlex wire to go with my D-lock to secure the front wheel. I don't have a quick-release saddle and I'm not too fond of it so I'm not too worried about securing it (good to honest, right?). Should I get the 7ft or 4ft version?

Hiya,

If you are only securing the wheels the 4ft cable is ample and better for carrying/ storage but if you are wanting to secure the saddle you'd need the 7ft. Personally I'd go for the 4ft given what you say about the saddle; touch wood I've never suffered from saddle theft and its been good enough for me. I've also got a 7ft cable (I got it free with a Kyptonite New York D Lock) and tbh it stays at home its just too long and unwieldy.

Well that was simple. My LBS suggested the 7ft so I could eventually use an independent lock and get the benefit of having two different types of lock securing the bike but the 4ft looks a lot more manageable. :-)

You could quite easily do this with the 4ft cable
