Koolstops for Campag Veloce brakes?

Bought some of these to replace the solid rubber campagnolo blocks on the bike at present.

They don't fit. The nut, a sort of dome/mushroom affair is too wide to fit in the slot in the Veloce caliper. With or without the large thick washer they ain't going on.

Any clues folks?

If it's only slightly too narrow use a file to open it out.

As Joe says - I think the old style Veloce calipers had thicker arms to start with and they are usually over-engineered for safety anyway.

Can buy a F&R pair of veloce calipers for almost the same price as the genuine campag brake blocks.
