I've used Kool Stop salmon pads for years but when I went to order them over Christmas I could only get the Green pads (for ceramic rims). Is there any issue using the green pads on aluminium rims?
Ive got the dual compound version on order but they won't come till next week I was wanting to use something this weekend and the green ones were the only ones in stock. I'll probably go to a local bike shop when they reopen next week too. I'll try to remember Brilliant bikes though as no doubt I'll need them again

The Kool-Stop greens are pretty soft, as ceramic pads go. I got through a pair in 35 miles (!) on new DR XR 4.1 ceramic rims. I fitted Swisstop sky blue pads and they lasted literally years.

Yes, I’ve got the blue on my carbide coated rims. I made the mistake of buying two pairs about 10 years ago, one pair is half worn and I might just sell the other!
