hey there health experts! ;p

So, after some heavy cycling, usually my left knee starts hurting, and my right knee is doing just fine.

Many many years ago, when I was a little kid, I had a surgery, where they drilled into my knee cause I had this: http://en.wikipedia....i/Osteomyelitis

So I'm just wondering if the pain from the knee comes due to that?

I can feel a bit of pain whenever I try to bend it/use the stairs, or just doing cycling moves, usually after a day or two the pains go away, till I cycle more heavy distances lol.

Told my mum about this, since she works in a hospital she knows her way around gels and medicines and so on, she gave me this gel that apparently could help me, so I'm just trying it out now.

Where is the pain exactly?

Im almost tempted to blindly put my money on Illitobial Band Syndrome and tell you to buy a foam roller, based on your current post i.e. navigating stairs is painful - I'll bet coming down hurts more than going up right? Goes away after a few days etc.

The gel your mum got, is this arnica gel? Pop some ibuprofen, rub some arnica gel on it (to deal with inflamation), and post back with more detailed description of where the pain lies.

I have come back to cycling after many years recently and often suffer a bit of knee pain in one knee for some reason. Have tweaked cleats and all that but still get twinges now and then. So dont ignore plain old wear and tear.
