Kippen to Stirling

Hi,

Just thought I would share my thoughts on the stretch of road between Kippen and Stirling.

Flat, Straight, fast and 6-8 mile long!

Best bit of Tarmac I have been on round these parts. Easily averaged 23mph just spinning, no probs!! Thats what road bikes are built for!!

Well that has just woken me up...

I have Cyclechat open in one tab in firefox and a horse riding forum I go on in another one. Went to my email for something and somehow ended up back in Cyclechat not the horsey forum. Clicked on this thread and wondered why on earth was someone saying how great 8 miles of tarmac was... till I got to the line about spinnning and the penny dropped..

I think the Scottish forum ride went by Kippen, the roads in that area are very nice indeed.

Yip, Tarmac + horses = no good!!

Missed that forum ride. Had organised to go but was struck down with dreaded lergy!

I was planning on coming on that forum ride as well.. but i am hoping that on the 29th I will be suffering a major hangover in Amsterdam having watched Scotland win against the Netherlands the night before... however i fear on the 29th I will be suffering a major hangover having trying to drown the memory of another humping from them

I have given up on international footie. Cant handle the big build up by the media then the assasination of the team when they get thumped!!

Anyone doing the Evans ride it event in Aberfoyle on Sunday?
